The NETS Standard that can be used to support online class discussion boards is Model Digital-Age Work and Learning. Teachers can use this standard to bring creative by having online class discussions. Having this standard helps students and teachers because the teacher is using her knowledge about technology and in return the teacher is showing her students another way of understanding the topic that the teacher is presenting to her class.
Using a discussion board allows students to see other people feel about the question or topic, and it allows them to reply to other people statements. A discussion board is more interactive than a blog or a web page because the teacher and students can interact on the discussion board, and it gives the students a better understanding because seeing how other student’s opinions they can take their opinions and build them in into their opinions. If teachers are using blogs or a web page you’re not getting your students engage into much discussion.
