Movie Maker Reflection....
The type of activity that I would make my students develop would be about “Mississippi.” The movie activity about Mississippi will show my students what Mississippi is all about. I would produce a movie showing my students the culture, geography, and the symbols that make up Mississippi. Symbols such as the state flag, state bird and flower to the Governor and Lt. Governor, and from there the historic places like Beauvoir. As for the geography show them pictures and maps of the land and its resources that we use. For culture I can show them different sections and dividing it up to show them in this section this county is known for producing cotton or say that in this town this is the famous house of William Faulkner. This activity would support the NETS standard because the Communication and Collaboration part would be how students can get together in groups and discuss how other people feel what they think Mississippi is made of, and they can talk about it and learn from others, and as well build knowledge to what they already know about their state. The Creativity and Innovation part will be to show them different parts about Mississippi things they may know have known or heard of, and coming up with new and different ways to show them that.
